Where do Snow Leopards live?
As previously stated, Snow Leopards are native to the mountainous areas of Central Asia. This includes up to 12 countries: Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. 60% of Snow Leopards live in China, due to the regions large size, and they usually stay inside colder and dryer climates
In terms of more specific areas, Snow Leopards prefer to settle in more rocky areas, such as broken terrain of cliffs, rocky outcrops, and ravines. But they never stick in one place for too long, as they are constantly moving in a more nomadic style to not only hunt, but to mark their terrority. Snow Leopards aren't agrresively territorial, but they tend to keep more exclusive home ranges, taking long treks out of each of them.
