- Snow Leopards are actually more related to Tigers then they are to traditional African Leopards
- Snow Leopards aren't nocturnal, but many of their activities are prefered to take place during the dawn and dusk
- Female Snow Leopards will raise their cubs on their own for 18 whole months
- They have long tails, reaching up to 80-105cms in length. Snow Leopards primarily use this for balance when traversing rocks, and for keeping it's body warm by wrapping it's tail around themselves
- Believe it or not, they actually are one of the few big cats who can't roar. Instead, Snow Leopard calls sound like a 'piercing yowl'
- Snow Leopard paws can double as snowshoes, to help them distribute it's weight over the snow, and to protect it from the cold
